My recent stay at Kaladi Rock Villa was a serene escape into the heart of Kythira's natural beauty. The location, perched on a cliff top overlooking the ocean, offered a mesmerizing backdrop for relaxation. The spacious rooms, though not boasting extravagant luxury, were comfortable and well-maintained thanks to the attentive housekeeping led by Betty. The owner's guidance on car rental and local recommendations added value to our exploration of the island's hidden gems, like the picturesque Avlemonas and the delightful Kaladi Beach, just a stroll away.While the absence of typical resort facilities may not suit all travelers, the self-sufficient nature of the accommodation added a charming touch to our stay. The occasional energy blackout was a minor inconvenience, quickly forgotten in the face of the breathtaking views and the inviting swimming pool. Nature enthusiasts will appreciate the free-range chickens and the beautiful yoga deck overlooking the sea, offering a tranquil space for sunrise practices.In terms of amenities, the villa had basic essentials such as an electric kettle and cookware, catering to those who prefer simplicity and self-catering options. The lack of on-site dining or entertainment facilities encourages guests to explore the local flavors and activities, aligning perfectly with a laid-back, low-key vacation vibe.
